All of these with the exception of the normal city will be stretch goals on my Kickstarter. The normal city may be an add-on. There is still the nuclear explosion, bio-bomb, Battlemaster mecha and Warlord Azzarro mini as part of my stretch goal collection. All of these will be spread out over 3 or 4 stretch goals.
I have two 3d designers working on these models. The first one, Aleks, did the ones above. Rolond will be completing the others. My artist, Becca, is going as fast as she can to complete the lettering and graphic templates for the game. The funds for the 3d models and printing them is nearly the same per month as what I am paying Becca. However, I have taken that chance as some of the funds would normally go into paying regular bills. I am breaking even right now.
The way I see it is if I do not get 3d models done, how am I to know if they will work for the game as stretch goals. Also, if I have them done before the Kickstarter, and it becomes successful, then I will have all of the game ready for manufacturing, which will mean the backers getting the game as soon as possible. If it does not work out the first time around, I will at least have them ready for a re-launch, and also have my own personal collection of minis for the game. The final results will be 8 different minis, totalling about 45 minis for a complete game. These minis are on average 25mm diameter by no more than 28mm tall.
This month I have also started up a GoFundMe project to fund money for buying prototypes. https://www.gofundme.com/t23kf3ug.
So far I have received $250 in donations, which is enough for one prototype, and starting into another. My goal was for as many as 10 prototypes so I can send to enough game reviewers. I hope to be able to get enough for at least 5 prototypes. It is a hard sell on GoFundMe, but I have to try.
Watch out for more updates on my game at Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/kaijuconquest/, and Tabletop Generation, https://tabletopgeneration.com/project/kaijuconquest/updates. The print and play and rules can be found on the Tabletop Generation page, with a link at bottom of the Details page. I have added those links at top of page.
